Tune Up and Mods (first time at home, not at dealer)
- Oil and filter change
- New spark plugs
- New jets and needles for the carbs as well as drilled out carb sliders to 7/64″
- Speedbleeders for the brake calipers (install and re-bleed brakes)
- 1″ Spacers for the handlebar risers to bring the bars a little closer
- Clean and re-oil the K&N air filters
- Install new carb brace from Bellacorse
- Solder pigtail wires on new micro-toggle switch for driving lights and install in dash
- Reinstall my bike watch on the steering head bolt
- Check the valve clearance
- Install new idle mixture screws in carbs
- Install stainless steel allenhead screw kit in carbs
- Replace tiny stock inline fuel filter with aftermarket glass inline-filter
- Balance carbs
- Install replacement sidestand
- Install new louder horn

Purchased TBS dual disc spoked front wheel
April 30, 2008
Swapped out right fork leg and front master cylinder for the equivalent Speedmaster parts.
All new DOT4 front brake fluid and fork oil (50/50 mix 10W/15W).
Powdercoated lower fork legs and upper fork shrouds semi-gloss black.
Replaced lower fork shrouds with rubber gators.
Installed Progressive Fork Springs

Had spare 18″ rim laced onto TBS hub and a new Avon Venon 130/70-18 mounted (haven’t installed on bike yet) ($200)

Odometer: 42,658.4
- Ordered new EBC Floating rotors (pair) for the TBS front wheel. Already have EBC brake pads (2 sets). Used rotors that came with the TBS wheel were nearly out of spec, close enough to replace.
- Cleaned and oiled K&N air filters and reinstalled with new safety wire.
- Oil and filter change. Amsoil 20W50 and K&N oil filter.
- Replaced candy orange front fender with black Speedmaster fender
Spring ’09, replaced battery (again)

- Drilled two baffles out of each of my stock pipes and took them for a ride.
April 2010
- Installed Specialty Spares short slash-cut mufflers (used, $200).
May 31, 2010
- Installed TBS dual disc wheel (front), including:
- New Avon 130/70-18
- Stock America 18″ rim and spokes (TBS came with 17″)
- Installed new EBC floating rotors (front)
- Installed new EBC sintered brake pads (front)
- Installed used Speedmaster right caliper
- Installed Spiegler braided stainless steel cross-over brakeline
- Installed stock front fender bracket (re-installing Speedmaster fender)
- Destroyed two brakeline clips from Newspeedmaster.com (ordered stock clips)
June 8, 2010
Approximately 45,250mi
- Replaced front brake fluid with Prestone DOT4 and bled system with Phoenix Systems brake bleeder.
- Kept stock bleeder in right side caliper (no speedbleeders). Added fresh teflon tape to bleeder screw threads.
