I present my next motorcycle, the Rocket III Tourer:
(According to Adey on BonnevilleAmerica.com:) The write-up says things like:
- 2007 project.
- Goldwing competition.
- Spies say the project is past the drawing board and into clay modeling.
- Cruise control ditched on cost grounds.
- Revised gearing to keep rvs low at higher speed.
- No footpegs – replaced with boards.
- Raked-back bars (like Classic?).
- Plusher seat with more upright riding position.
- Electronically adjustable screen.
- Fairing mounted anti-vibration mirrors.
- Adjustable side panels to the fairing for rider adjustment.
- High back seat for pillion.
- A selection of 12V power outlets around the bike (heated clothing?).
- No bike specific sat-nav or stereo developed yet
- Clocks remain with added fuel gauge.
- Shaft drive retained (why wouldn’t it??).
The bike is said to be an offspring from early feedback received from Rocket buyers. It highlighted the idea as a viable option.
Triumph were contacted about the bike and said:
“At the moment all that we can say is that this sounds like speculation that may or may not come true.”
