Tim (my A/C repair guy) called about the Dakota cooling fan. He called Shelby (they were d!cks). He searched the internet (bupkis). He finally pulled the radiator and tore the motor apart and got a serial number and tracked it down. The GOOD news is that it’s still available. The bad news, well, you’re not going to fcuking believe this.

With my Experienced Rider Course looming one week hence, it was (past) time to get my bike back on the road. Here’s a few pictures of the process, and a couple of the goodies my pops and uncle brought me from California last weekend, including a compressor, router table, computer desk and rollaway tool chest.

LC Fabrications has a stripped down wiring diagram for Hinkley Triumphs (new generation like mine) that they developed for this custom hardtail standard Bonnie they built.

With all the electrical problems I’ve had this year, it’s tempting to start from scratch. Yeah, yeah, I know. That would be just as big a headache as sorting things out on the stock harness.

Well, after a mere three-and-a-half weeks, the friend of mine who crashed in British Columbia is going home to Thompson Falls from Spokane this Wednesday (tomorrow). His bones (pelvic and femur) are still knitting together so he won’t be doing any serious moving around for 6-8 weeks yet. His mother flew in yesterday to take care of him for a while. The community has pulled together and outfitted his home with grab rails everywhere. Gotta love small towns. Sherri and I are going to stop by Thursday on the way to Spokane.
