With the new year comes new lists. Referencing previous lists and inventorying the parts I’ve already purchased, here we go:

Bike Maintenance (Mandatory)

Current odometer reading (approximate): 42,300

  • Oil and filter change
  • Clean and oil air filters
  • Double check valve clearances
  • New tires front and rear


Planned Bike Modifications

  • Thunderbird Sport dual disc front wheel upgrade (install cross-over brakeline and right caliper)
  • Install and try out Speedmaster handlebars and pullback risers (powder-coat black if they work okay)
  • New 5 3/4″ billet headlight
  • New LED turn signals, (run-turn-stop module for rear)
  • New Brakelight with LED bulb
  • New Speedmaster front fender
  • New Bobbed rear fender (with new wiring harness)
  • New Customized tank with monza gas cap and shaved dash
  • New Custom Paint
  • Black exhaust wrap for header pipes
  • D&D mufflers, ceramic-coated black if I like the sound
  • Drilled out Stock mufflers if I don’t like the D&Ds
  • Design and fab new quick-release luggage rack that uses Easybracket posts (possibly two different size racks)
  • Veypor gauge unit (need to order wiring harness)

For Sale

  • Triumph Tall Sissybar with luggage rack, includes Easybracket posts for use with sissybar $250/best
  • Modified harley hard saddle bags with EasyBracket hardware and extra latch $200/best

For Sale (later)

  • Triumph Tacho kit
  • Triumph rear fender rack
  • Phantom pad (sell as soon as luggage rack(s) are done)

Unresolved issues

  • replacing 4 warning lights from shaved dash

Future

  • Steel braided control cables
  • Internal handlebar wiring
  • BCC custom low profile seat (local riding only), used
  • Make new battery bracket out of extra stock bracket
  • Modify stock “George Foreman Grill” sprocket cover with new design
  • Design and fab new inserts for footboards, possibly powder-coat boards black
  • Replace cheap fog lights with nicer (PIAA?)
